Inner Compass Teen & Young Adult Coaching
A safe space where your teen can discover their inner guidance system, develop resilience, and navigate life with confidence
When the World Feels Chaotic, Help Your Teen Find Their True North
Teens today face unprecedented pressures, including social media comparisons and academic stress to complex family dynamics and future uncertainties. Your teen is navigating challenges that didn’t exist in previous generations. They are dealing with world events, mental health awareness, and mature topics that can feel overwhelming—all while trying to figure out who they are and where they belong.
Inner Compass Teen Coaching provides your daughter with a non-clinical, empowering space to process their experiences, develop her own internal navigation system so they can learn to make decisions with confidence.
As a coach, I serve as a bridge between your teen’s world and yours, helping your teen understand the caring intentions behind adult guidance while providing them with tools to communicate their perspective effectively.
Why Your Teen Needs
Their Inner Compass
Right Now:
- Social Media Chaos: Constant comparison, cyberbullying, and pressure to curate a “perfect” image
- Academic Overwhelm: College pressure, competitive environments, and fear of failure
- Peer Pressure: Mean teen dynamics, fitting in vs. standing out, and losing themselves to belong
- Future Anxiety: College decisions, career uncertainty, and the weight of “choosing their whole life”
- Family Expectations: Balancing others’ dreams for with their own authentic desires
What Happens When They Finds Their Inner Compass:
Your teen learns to navigate life from their own center of truth. They become someone who makes decisions based on their values rather than peer pressure, trusts their instincts when faced with difficult choices, and stays grounded even when the world around them feels unstable.
The Four Directions of Inner Compass Development
Through our coaching partnership, your teen will develop navigation skills in four essential directions:
True North: Authentic Self-Discovery
– Discover their personal values and trust their intuition
– Build confidence from within, not from others’ approval
– Distinguish their authentic voice from external expectations
East: Emotional Intelligence
– Use emotions as information instead of being overwhelmed
– Develop healthy coping strategies for stress
– Process big feelings with confidence
South: Confident Communication
– Express thoughts and feelings with confidence
– Set boundaries and handle difficult people
– Build authentic friendships based on mutual respect
West: Authentic Future Planning
– Explore interests authentically, not what others expect
– Make decisions from their center, not from pressure
– Build confidence in navigating uncertainty

The Inner Compass Coaching Process
Step 1: Fill out the confidential, online application and schedule your Complimentary 30-Minute Parent Discovery Call Timeline: You will be contacted within 48 hours | Who: Parents only | Duration: 30 min This no-pressure conversation helps you understand the coaching approach and share your teen’s current situation and any special challenges your teen is facing. I’ll explain how coaching works and help you determine if this approach makes sense for your family right now.
*Download the Inner Compass Coaching Guide and the Quick Next Steps Reference sheet with tips on discussing this service with your teen.
Step 2: Family Consultation Session (50-minute session) Timeline: Scheduled at your convenience, in-person or HIPAA Compliant Video session | Who: Parent and Teen | Duration: 50 min During this preliminary consultation, your teen will have an opportunity to join the discussion and provide their own perspective on their current situation and their special challenges. I’ll answer any questions you or your teen may have about therapy vs. coaching to ensure we’re choosing the right approach for your teen’s needs. Together, we’ll create a customized plan to help your teen develop their internal guidance system through coaching and move forward. I’ll provide personalized package recommendations based on your teen’s situation and your family’s goals.
We’ll also establish clear confidentiality guidelines that protect your teen while keeping you appropriately informed. This framework allows your teen to feel completely safe opening up about any topic affecting their emotional and mental well-being, while ensuring you stay connected to their growth journey.
Step 3: Teen Compass Assessment Session (30 minute Teen session & 30 minute Teen and Parents together) Timeline: Scheduled at your convenience, in-person or HIPAA Compliant Video session | Who: Teen | Duration: 60 min Your teen and I will meet privately to discuss their situation and begin identifying their values and goals. Your Teen will take a Coaching Readiness Assessment, which will help us identify areas that may be challenging. Those results will be shared in private with your teen.
Final Package Decision: In the second half of the session, parents are invited in and the Coaching Readiness Assessment results are discussed with your teen’s permission and discretion. A determination will be made as to whether your teen should proceed with coaching or be referred to therapy. If therapy is recommended, a referral to my private therapy practice for California residents can be easily arranged. If you reside outside the state of California, I will be happy to assist you with referrals in your state. I’ll make specific package recommendations tailored to your teen’s goals and your family’s budget. This is where you’ll choose your path forward and lock in your teen’s spot to begin their Inner Compass journey!”
