About the Author
Melissa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 18 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. Through her work, she has supported countless people who feel like anxiety isn’t just a passing moment—but something that lives with them, day in and day out.
Her approach is grounded in both clinical expertise and deep compassion. Melissa believes anxiety isn’t something to “fix” overnight—but something to understand, work with, and gently take power back from.
Inspired by years of listening to clients describe anxiety as something that feels constant—like a roommate that won’t leave—she created this book to offer a new way of relating to it. One that feels practical, validating, and human.
This book, along with the companion planner, is designed to help you recognize patterns, build awareness, and create small, meaningful shifts over time—without pressure or perfection.
When she’s not working with clients or writing, Melissa is passionate about creating tools that make mental health support more accessible, relatable, and easy to integrate into everyday life.
